“Over the years I have repaired or replaced other cabinets from hardware stores or other cabinet shops.  I’m not going to speak negatively about them, but would like to pass on some valuable information to you.

You can save yourself a lot of frustration by knowing what to look for, and by staying away from cheap hardware and inferior building materials.

I can’t remember how many times that I’ve replaced entire drawer boxes because the drawer front has been pulled off, even though the customer has tried to repair it with, epoxy, gorilla glue, silicon, angle brackets, nails, bolts, screws, duct tape, etc…  So buyer beware!

If you see veneered particle board on the inside of your wall or base cabinet, or your drawer box or even on the inside raised panel of your doors (yes they even sneak it in there) you probably shouldn’t buy it.   To put it simply, if it’s not real solid wood or top quality cabinet grade plywood don’t buy it.  It’s simply not worth it.”
